The Little Book of Parachute Play contains hundreds of ideas for using home-made or commercially produced parachutes with young children. All the games have been tried with Foundation Stage groups and there are even simple instructions for making your own parachute from easily obtained materials.
The beauty of parachute play is that each child in the game can be allocated their own section or corner (depending on the shape of the parachute) meaning that children can be gradually introduced to playing with others, while still having their own clearly defined space.
An excellent guide for outdoor activities, this book is particularly useful to parents of children with a variety of social interaction disorders and difficulties.
